A home-based Educator is someone who can not only turn a pipe cleaner into a ½ hour learning experience, but who is warm, relaxed and enjoys being with children.

The benefit Educators enjoy most is that they can stay at home with their own children while earning an income. It is also an opportunity to meet other Educators and gain new friendships, or in some cases to begin a career in early childhood education.

• Earn $4.50 - $18.00 per hour, dependant on the number of children (increasing Feb 2011 - earn $5.00 - $20.00 per hour!)
  
• Special tax option for home-based educators – means most of what you earn is exempt from income tax (we can provide all the information and guidance for tax returns)
  
• Have the flexibility to choose how many children you would like and what days and times you work
  
• Alternative care arranged for you if you or your own family are unwell
  
• Free access to equipment lending – such as cots, pushchairs etc
  
• Free access to resource library (books, play equipment, paints, etc)
  
• Free playgroup and gymnastic sessions for Educators and children to attend
  
• Planned excursions to the Zoo, arboretum, or farms, usually once per term paid for by us
  
• Basic training and first aid paid for
  
• Opportunities to attend courses, workshops and home-based conferences
